Do I need a passport to go on a honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean? If so, what details should I be aware of?

In case it matters, I’m 23 years old and my Fiancee is 19.

You got a bunch of WRONG answers. Neither the law or the cruise lines require you to have a passport. SOME cruise lines want all passengers to have a passport, but it is NOT required by law. Starting in June 2009, passports will be required for sea travel with the EXCEPTION of loop cruises to Mexico and the Caribbean that begin and end in the same U.S. port. See 1st 2 sites below. Then see 3rd site for all passport application info…in case you decide to get passports. Cost is $100.00 plus photos and it currently takes 3 weeks ( not months) to get your passport.

Best caribbean all-inclusive resort?

I’m open to any destination in the caribbean. I’m just picky about the beaches; I want the clear water, white sand beaches. I was considering the Bahamas but I can’t find a nice all-inclusive resort. I was looking for something around the $4,000 range for 8 nights, 2 people, includign airfare from Miami, FL. If you have any ideas I’d appreciate them.
Oh yea, sorry, it’ll be my fiance and I. We’re hoping to get a resort that offers the free small wedding. I know Sandals does but they’re very expensive. I don’t think they have the nicest rooms, either.

Congratulations Steph!

Sandals Bahamian is a beautiful resort. The beach is very nice, they also offer their own private island & of course free weddings.
Also, I have had clients marry at Radisson Cable Beach. It is a nice resort when you can get a good deal.

The Dominican Republic, Bavaro Beach area is a beautiful beach… wide, white beaches, blue waters.. perfect!
Excellence Punta Cana Resort is adults only however I believe the no longer do free weddings. Partial nuditity is allowed on the beaches, many Americans are uncomfortable with this.

Cozumel & Cancun offer awesome beaches & very fine accommodations.
Secrets Capri- Riviera Maya
Reef Club – Cozumel

St. Lucia is also a romantic island with beautiful beaches
Windjammer Landing is where some of my clients have married, however the weddings are an additional charge.

Negril, Jamaica offers great beaches & fine resorts. Sandals Whitehouse is great but may be out of your budget.
There is also Couples Negril, I’ve had VERY happy clients marry there!
You may want to consider staying 5-7 nights, that will help you keep within your budget & still be able to have a better room.

There are so many options for you… also it depends on the time of year you plan to marry. Prices are much higher certain dates throughout the year.

Sorry this was so long but really not long enough :)

Wendy

We want to take part in activities on our honeymoon, more than lay on the beach. Location suggestions?

We are looking for a honeymoon destination outside of the US. We live in CA and can sit on the beach all day long for 8 months out of the year so we would like to take advantage of the other activities on our honeymoon. Any suggestions on where to go? Good hotels or packages to check out? Not too interested in Hawaii or Mexico. We’ve also been to St. Thomas and St. Maarten so any other locations in the Caribbean would be nice.

come to British Columbia Mountains the ocean. parks If you like the out doors pack your bags see hellobc tourismvancouver. they will mail you free info

What are the perks for honeymooners on a Royal Caribbean Cruise?

My fiancee and I are planning to go on a cruise after we get married next month. And we are trying to decide which cruise line has the best perks for honeymooners?

We have read good reviews about Royal Caribbean and we were wondering about the perks this cruise line has for honeymooners. The ship we are particularly looking to book is the Sovereign of the Seas for a 3night cruise to the Bahamas.

Thank you.

OMG I love Royal Caribbean!!!! I have been on 3 of there cruises!

good caribbean islands for vacation in november?

i’m planning on going on a vacation in november (1st – 5th) to an island in the caribbean, but am afraid of the hurricane season. what islands would not get hit during this period?

There are 3 islands that are outside the hurricane belt: Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. I must sya though that because an island maybe withing the hurricane belt doesnt mean they will get hit by a hurricane. Barbados is a really great vacation get away and we have not had a hurricane in a REALLY long time so you should not miss out on something so great!

Barbados is a beautiful island. Lots of lovely scenery and so much to do, morning noon and night…there is something to do in Barbados for every kind of person, the quite ones the loud and so on…you can never get bored in Barbados and the island is very romantic as well!

As it relates to accommodation, there is a lovely resort in Barbados called The Barbados Beach Club. This is along the South Coast and has a lovely beach view.
