As the owner and only employee of my company, can I write off a caribbean vacation as a tax deductible perk?

I know big companies send their top performers to caribbean vacations and I bet those are expensed before taxes. Can't I do the same?

some of it may be tax deductible. i do taxes and i know that there are special rule on a crusies and the key word here is vacation. no vacation is tax deductible but that depends on what was for business. get you records together and go see your tax preparer for the specifics on your unique situation.

What is the best all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean to have a wedding & have affordable travel expenses?

I'm currently looking for an amazing boutique resort in the Caribbean that has an all-inclusive option for my wedding. Preferably, I would like to have the ceremony on a cliffside overlooking the ocean, rather than in the sand. It's very important for travel expenses (airfare & hotel) to be affordable for my guests to come. I would like to keep it around $1,000/person if possible – or I fear not that many people will come! Other preferable amenities are great food, spa services, great service in general, private beach access if not situated directly on the beach, water activities/tours (i.e. cruise for guests around the island), and it would also be great to be able to fly directly into the island – has to have its own airport. :) Right now, I'm trying to stay away Jamaica, Dominican Republic & Puerto Rico – and Mexico. Also, I think the U.S. & British Virgin Islands will be too expensive. Any suggestions? Other islands: St. Lucia, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, St. Kitts, Barbados,et

Right now, Punta cana, Dominican republic is the best place to go for that, nice, unexpensive, and I'm sure you will have the best time of your life there. http://www.bookit.com/

Caribbean vacation packages?

Hi
i was browsing the net for vacation packages in the caribbean but could not find exactly what i was looking for so if anyone has ideas and suggestions please.I'm looking for an all included caribbean vacation packages that means everything like meals some entertainment like diving boating etc even if not included you can mention it to me because after all with options one can be sure to choose what's best for oneself.Basically i just want to make sure when i get there i will not have to spend more money and hidden fees
thx.
Also countries as Belize,Brazil,St lucia ,Martinique, and Guadeloupe are in my top five

hey u forgot Jamaica!!!! Whateveru r looking for u can find it there. i am Jamaican and i have been traveling for about 5 years now to other Caribbean islands and some parts of Central and South America. i love all that i have seen so far but i can assure u that Jamaica has the best to offer. try going to an all inclusive hotel if u have the bucks for that, and from there they will indulge ur ever pleasure. if not try a guest house, they are small so more intimate. and even if u have they money the guest house can b the way to go (big fish in a small pond) Jamaicans can b very accomadating. plus they always have a smile. best of luck to u. oh yeah and if u going belize u make sure u r going to the kays and u have the money to spend bec they are very expencive… very.

Do Verizon phones work on Royal Caribbean cruises?

My friend is on a Royal Caribbean cruise from Texas to the Caribbean. We both have Verizon Wireless cell phones. Will he be able to text me while he is away?

Thanks for your help! :)

although the cruise ships let you use your phones on board, you get no service while at sea. I went on a cruise in December and i got the best service while i was at port. You get slammed with roaming fees, but it's better than using your state room phone, which charges you $7.00 per minute!
