Free Caribbean Cruise Tickets for Two?

I got a voucher in the mail for two adult tickets for a free cruise on the Royal Caribbean ship in celebration of their newest ship. I’m not sure if it’s a scam or not. I had to call a toll-free 1-800 number within 72 hours to reserve my tickets. I called and it sounded wonderful. The cruise is free, a $1300 value plus a 3 night, 4 day stay in Fort Lauderdale. I just have to pay $99 per person for government taxes, which is understandable. I stayed on the phone for an hour as they rattled off all my packages and experiences I’ll have. At the end, they asked for my credit card number to reserve my trip. Then they gave me a number ($898) for the full package, which adds on 2 nights and 3 days at Excalibur or the Gold Nugget in Vegas, a hotel in Orlando, and the Hacienda Resort and Spa in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. All of them, not just one… Plus VIP dining, scuba diving, etc. etc. Can this be real? I realize it’s not free, but am I really going to get this "vacation of dreams" for just $898?

They also said I could bring up to 2 people with me on the cruise, but they would have to pay an additional $130 or something and they would have a package of lesser value. It sounds pretty realistic. What do you think?

You know what they say… If it sounds too good to be true, than it probably is. Those are VERY wise words to live by!!!

royal caribbean’s cruise lines alcohol policies?

ok so me and a couple of my friends are going on a cruise in a few weeks and my one friend is insisting that he is going to bring bottles of vodka in his luggage. i told hime he shouldnt but he wont listen. will royal caribbean just confiscate it if he claims he didnt read the info package or will not let him board the boat if they find it

You are not permitted to bring alcohol on board although some resourceful cruisers have found many ways to get around this. For one, they do not search every bag looking for booze. They may pass it through x-ray or spot search so you can take your chances.

On the cruisecritic.com message board there are several threads dedicated to this subject. There is also a product specifically dedicated to sneaking alcohol on cruise ships called Rum Runners. They also don’t look twice at soda and water bottles so a quick substitute of liquids may work. I managed to take a pint of Jack Daniels in the original bottle without any problem. I just wrapped it up in a t-shirt in my bag.

If you get caught, they will likely just hold it until the end of the cruise. They will not deny him boarding.

Recommendations for best all-inclusive resort for a cheap price?

I’m looking to renew my vows on a beach at an all-inclusive resort somewhere in the Caribbean. I’m thinking Cabos or Playa del Carmen in Mexico, Costa Rica, etc…

Do you have any suggestions for great wedding locations at a reasonable price and good wedding packages?
I’m looking to spend under $5,000 for my wedding and accomodations.

Weddings down there are very inexpensive. My sister got married on St Thomas and the wedding itself was only about 600-800. It’s the all inclusive that will be difficult.

Try pricing Sandals, Riu, Almond, and Secrets. Those are usually the most common ones and therefore are more likely to have lower prices.

Good luck!

What happens to a Sea Pass card on a back to back cruise?

We are due to cruise with ROYAL CARIBBEAN in about 6 weeks. I have bought a beverage package but am not sure whether I need to buy one for the second week? I think the Sea Pass gets stamped so do you get a different Sea Pass for the second week? I don’t know whether the beverage package lasts the one or two weeks – I would hate to pay for two when the one Sea Pass gets you through as they are so expensive with two young children.
Can anyone help?

Im Only Back From A Royal Carribean Cruise Ship About 2 Hours Ago If I Was You i Would Of Bought The Beverage Package Before you get on the ship. Don’t Even Think about getting one For the second week Because you get a sticker and it will last the Two Week They Don’t Even Look at your card when your looking for a drink .. You also get Free Drinks in the windjammer So If You Didn’t Book The Beverage Package you Can Just Run Up to the windjammer and get free drinks .. also don’t buy to beverage package just buy one and your 2 children can use it that what me and my wee brother done ..

Hope I Help You Will Have the best Holiday ever the ship is massive i would surrgest getting walkie talkies so you won’t Lose Your Children that’s what my dad done and it was a massive help (:

Have a Nice Holiday (:
