Honeymoon in the Caribbean in October
I am currently planning my honeymoon. We are going in October (5-15) and we are looking for an island in the Caribbean that will have a slim chance of a hurricane, as well as very little rainfall. I know that a hurricane shouldn’t be my main concern, but rainfall really is. I don’t want to get to a beautiful island and be stuck in my room.
My question is what island would everyone suggest? We were looking at the British Virgin Islands, but which island? Also, how is the rainfall there during that time?
We were also thinking about Aruba. However, I am worried about it being too commercialized and too much like Cancun. We are really looking for a relaxing vacation and like our privacy and space, but we also enjoy a little bit of nightlife.
Any suggestions would help! Thanks!
check out Barbados, I just got back last week and it is beautiful! also it is the easternmost caribbean island so it’s away from the hurrican belt. Also my inlaw’s live in Tortolla, BVI. It’s really nice but like totally rural. That’s why Barbados is great, half the island is totally rural countryland(St.Lucy Parish and the Entire East Coast) and then there is the "city" areas like Bridgetown(shopping center, capital) and St. Lawrence Gap(bars, clubs area they party all night long LOL). it’s enjoyable but not over commercialized at all, they don’t even have a mcdonalds! but they have rum shops LOL:~)
also, when it rains in the Caribbean, it like downpours for 10 minutes, stop s and the sun comes right out! it’s crazy!
island safari or Adventureland 4×4 tours of the country is totally worth it!! we also rented scooters and drove around the country for a few days,it was amazing!
