Any opinions on all-inclusive caribbean resorts (i.e. Sandals or Secrets)?

We’re specifically looking at the Secrets Excellence Resort in Punta Cana. But we welcome any suggestions!

Look into the Paradisus Palma Real
Its All Inclusive and is I think so much more elegant than Secrets. It seems Secrets has been around too long and has lost its appealing effects of a couples romantic resort.
At the Paradisus , the rooms are Junior Suites , w. Terrace , Jacuzzi , Mohogany furniture etc.
They offer same ammenities as Secrets .
Have Fun!

Best all-inclusive Caribbean resort?

All-inclusive is a must.

It depends – if you want casino involved or not, if you’re going by self, with friends or family or a significant other.

I can think of Barbados where there’s great nightlife but no casino involved.

You can check below for all-inclusive vacations:

You can also check into Almond Resorts, Barbados has at least three resorts and one is situated in St. Lawrence Gap where nightlife is seen.

Hope this helps.

Caribbean all-inclusive vacation: Help needed?

My brother is graduating high school this year and as a graduation present my parents are letting him take a trip somewhere. He decided on the Caribbean, and me and my mom are going to go with him.

Can anyone suggest a good location and all-inclusive resort to travel to? We are looking for a place we can all just kick back on the beach and drink and have a good time. Also, if you could suggest one with a casino in it as well, that would be a HUGE plus.

Thanks!
Thank you, sorry though I forgot to mention I’ve been to Aruba and am looking for somewhere else. XD

I would definitely look at Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana. This all-inclusive resort has many of the amenities you are looking for including being on a beautiful beach. The resort also features five bars, seven restaurants and 24-hour room service. Lastly, they have a great nightly entertainment in their beautiful indoor theater and a casino that is open until 3 am.

Caribbean All-inclusive suggestions?

My fiance and I are planning a destination wedding for Feb 2010. We’re having the HARDEST time finding a good AI (all-inclusive). We went to Costa Rica back in August and LOVED the resort (Paradisus Playa Conchal) but think it’s too expensive for most guests. Can anybody recommend a nice AI in the Caribbean? A couple of the things that we really liked about the Paradisus that we don’t want to settle on is that they didn’t charge for the in-room safe and dining at the a la carte restaurants was unlimited (could go every single night, not just 3 times a week or something). We’d certainly like to keep it under $1500/week/person. There will be at least one teenager coming so it can’t be an adult only resort (but I don’t want costumed characters running around my wedding either). The RIU chain has been suggested, we’ve also looked into the Gran Bahia, Breezes, Beaches. I would like to hear first hand experiences or new suggestions though. Thanks for any help!
Oops, forgot to say that Mexico isn’t an option!

I wonder if you’ve looked at Barbados, the easternmost island in the Caribbean.

If you’re from U.S., I can recommend Apple Vacations – you can do a complete package.

Here’s the link direct to Barbados vacations with them:

You can also consider Almond Resorts

Who knows a very nice not so large all inclusive Caribbean hotel for honeymoon J/Ws?

CLEAN, MODERN, Room number with a view, K/H, Room service if needed, Large Roman bath tub, not far from airport or sea port? J/Ws, W/Twr. Caribbean area in general.

Honest travel agents may reply also.

If you are looking for all of that AND not expensive, your best bet is Cancun. Jamaica is cheaper, but it’s clearly passed its prime and is not as nice or as safe as it was ten years ago. St. Thomas, St. John, Aruba, The Caymans and Grand Bahama all have beautiful places, but, by far, the most affordable places are in Cancun. Seriously, all of the resorts are nice. I’ve only stayed at the Hilton there are the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach, but there are other Fiesta Americana properties in Cancun that are not as expensive. Go to Yahoo Travel or Travelocity and check out the hotels. You need to see pictures and compare.

Good Luck and Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!
