Caribbean honeymoon location?
Planning our honeymoon somewhere in the Caribbean. I'm looking for a location that has plenty of non beach/swimming things to do in addition to nice beaches. Considering St. Maarten at the moment.
St. Maarten is a good spot. However, for options, there's Barbados, St. Lucia and Antigua & Barbuda especially to consider them.
Barbados' boutique hotel has received Travellers' Choice 2009 from tripadvisor so that's a winner.

You have not specify if you wanted all inclusive or not.

Montego Bay is fun; the beach is right across from the main street in town. If you want to be on your own – not at an all-inclusive, there's little outdoor restaurants with lights strung up at night to welcome you in. Plenty of small shops for souvenirs and local crafts and artwork. Stores all along the promenade with 'island' type clothes. the beach is there if you want it but there's plenty else to do. There's great seafood restaurants and bars too. It's more laid back than other Caribbean islands; the airport is small, which is nice.

i took a trip to the caribbean and many places are flooded with tourists. However, one place that is not commercialized and is very authentic is belize. there are GORGEOUS islands that you can have completely to yourself all you have to do is hire a boat to take you which is very simple. Another place that is in the caribbean even though i'ts off of mexico is cozumel, mexico. there are mayan ruins and many cool things to visit, hope i could help!
