Drinking age on caribbean cruises?

I’m thinking about going on a cruise with a few friends over winter break, but I’m wondering what the drinking age would be. Some of my friends are already 21+ but I’m only 19, and I want to know if I’d be excluded form any of the fun. Since its in the caribbean and not technically on US soil, how old do you have to be?

To drink alcohol, most cruise lines require guests to be 21. The only exceptions are:
NCL allows guests 18-20 to drink beer and wine with the consent of an accompanying parent or guardian, once the ship is 3 miles or more away from U.S. waters.
Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara allow guests aged 18-20 to drink alcohol with the consent of an accompanying parent or guardian — but only on cruises in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Drinking age on all cruises departing from the U.S. is 21. See site below. Rather than being excluded from the fun, you may well be th only one in your right mind and able to actually know you are having fun.

    21. Drinking age on the islands varies, but you can look it up.

Are you sure your friends are actually booked on the cruise? Because most cruise lines don’t allow 21-year-olds to cruise without an older adult. Cruise lines have such a restriction due to problems with "spring breakers" in the past disrupting other passengers’ vacations. Of course, the Captain always has the option of putting troublesome passengers off at the next port to find their own way home….
